Happy Monday! In tonight’s Monday Update, we added in:
Malabrigo Rasta – a super bulky weight yarn that is 100% wool and comes 90 yards to the skein. I used it to make the Howling Winds Cowl, which is a super quick knit that takes just one skein for the pattern. If you’d like a copy of the pattern with your Rasta purchase, just leave us an order note and we’ll email it to you! Other good options for Rasta – Wynter Hat, Pinna, Super Bulky Socks, or Super Bulky Mittens for Women. (Shown here in Arco Iris.)
Malabrigo Sock – a fingering weight yarn that is 100% superwash merino, with 440 yards to the skein. This is popular for socks, but also for one-skein shawls and scarves, cowls and hats. You might try the Gardener’s Shawl, Brandywine Shawl, Golden Haze, or Aurinko.
Malabrigo Nube Roving – Malabrigo’s first venture into roving. This is super soft and awesome to work with, and of course it comes in the wonderful colors that they do so well. If you don’t yet spin, you might want to consider taking it up, just to work with this roving. That’s how nice it is! (Shown here in Persia).
Malabrigo Book 5 – another great pattern book! This one includes cowls, shawls, scarves and a poncho pattern, in several different weights and bases.
Inspinknity Blocking Wires – we’ve long carried tubes of blocking wires in the shop for in-store customers, but haven’t had something that would be easy to ship to all of you all over the world! That has changed with Inspinknity’s amazing blocking wires. These flexible wires are particularly great for items that you block with curves and rounded edges, as you’ll see the wires go in any direction you need them to. We have them available in Ultra Fine Lace and Ultra Fine Super Long.
Schoppel Wolle Zauberball Lace – a re-stock of the laceweight balls of pretty, color-changing yarn. These are 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon, and come with 875 yards in a ball.
Trekking – more new colors from Trekking, as well as a few more re-stocks. Not only is Trekking great for socks (easy care, great wear), but it’s also nice for gloves, hats and lighter weight mittens.
