Happy Monday to you all! Just up in tonight’s Update:
Three Irish Girls – Kells Sport Merino. This is a new base for us and is 100% merino wool with 320 yards in the skein. It works well for sweaters, shawls and baby items (machine wash gentle, lay flat to dry.) Shown here in Bourbon Street.
Three Irish Girls – Glenhaven Cashmerino Fingering. An 80% merino wool, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon blend that comes 370 yards to the skein. This one would be great for many of the cowl patterns I shared on last Friday’s blog post!
Another Crafty Girl – Strong Sock. This fingering weight yarn is 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon, which makes it great for socks. You’ll also like it for shawl and cowl patterns. Shown here in Mona Lisa.
Lorna’s Laces – Shepherd Sock. A fingering weight yarn that is 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. (And why is it that every time I type the word “nylon”, I end up typing “nylong”? Kind of like every time I try to type “loop” I always type “loopy”. But that one I understand ……)
Lorna’s Laces – Solemate. This is the fingering weight version of the 55% superwash merino, 30% Outlast and 15% nylon yarn that cools you when you’re hot and warms you when you’re cold. It also comes in the Sportmate (sport weight) version. Shown here in Mt. Creek.
ChiaoGoo Red Lace Needles – re-stocked
Beading Hooks (1.0 mm and .75 mm) – re-stocked
Brittany Birch 10″ straight needles – re-stocked
Knitting Notions – re-stocked (including Conducive Thread, Norwegian Knitting Thimbles for colorwork, Lacis Wrist Yarn Ball Holders, and Knitting Counters.)
The Calico Bush – Drawstring Project Bags. Holly is a new indie artisan that we’ve added in to the shop. Her daughter Toni works at Interweave and is one of our Knit Night attendees. One night, Toni brought me one of the project bags that her mom makes, and it quickly became my go-to project bag. I love the drawstring top and the fact that it also has handles to loop over your arm as you knit on the go (or in the car, or on a plane). Lots of cute fabrics in this bunch! Shown here in the Blue Jacks pattern.
Valdani Thread – Pearl Cotton 12 thread for embroidery, quilting, crochet and wool applique. This line is hand-dyed with lead-free dyes, and guaranteed colorfast.
Modern Quilt Studio – A regular pattern magazine, but without ads – just patterns and interesting articles! We have their first seven issues available.
Andover Fabrics – Amelia, Dimples, Itsy Bits and Raindrops (a sample from the lines shown below). Dimples, Raindrops and Itsy Bits are great filler fabrics when you want something more interesting than solids, but nothing too big and patterned that will take away from your focus fabrics. We have two different Short Stacks available for the Amelia and Itsy Bits lines.
Cloud 9 Fabrics – Happy Drawing Line. I’m partial to the sheep, but all of the different animals are adorable. Short Stacks also available. (A sample few fabrics shown below.)
Moda Fabrics – Surrounded by Love (Valentine fabrics already!). Short Stacks available. (A sample few fabrics shown below.)
Gingham Girls – pattern re-stocks on the ones we’ve sold out of. We’ve also kitted up the Posy Polka wall hanging, because we made up a sample for the shop and have had people ask about it.
Have fun shopping and we’ll get your orders packed up and shipped out asap! (You need a Box of Fun this week, right? Me, too.)
