Alpaca Silk Metalico

Happy Monday to you! We have a beautiful new (but old, but new) yarn for you today, in addition to some great re-stocks. But first:

A note about pattern links in our newsletters and blogs, moving forward:

We know that some of you are not on Ravelry or are avoiding it at the moment due to issues with the newly redone Ravelry site. I’ve notated below any pattern link that is going to take you to Ravelry. If there is no indication of Rav, then it’s either an etsy site, or a designer site, or other similar pattern sites. We appreciate the many designers who have started their own pattern sites that we can link to.

Please let us know your favorite pattern sites so we can link to and support them in the future!

Now on to new and re-stocked today:

Blue Sky Fibers Metalico

This Metalico is our new (old, but now new again) yarn today, because we carried this base several years ago, and loved it. In the past, it has only been available in natural colors, but now they have 8 new fun colors, too! It is a luxurious yarn to knit and to wear.

I made my Another Way out of it (see below) and am currently working on a Lexington Cowl (free pattern on the Blue Sky Website). If you’ve never tried Metalico, give it a try. I think you will love it!

Universal Yarn Bamboo Pop

Not only is this wonderful yarn for lighter weight sweaters (and sweaters for those with a wool allergy because it’s a cotton/bamboo blend), it’s also a wonderful yarn for baby sweaters, blankets, and accessories. I had fun making this POP! Baby Cardigan on Ravelry.
