New yarn today and we’re excited about it! Sandnes Garn yarn comes to us from Norway, and is made by a company that has been producing yarn (both industrial and hand knitting yarn) since 1888. We have added in two of their bases, in all of the colors.
Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt – This DK weight yarn is 100% Norwegian Wool and knits up beautifully for sweaters, colorwork, mittens, scarves, hats, and more. Each ball comes ready to use (no need for winding) and has 98 yards per ball. Available in 38 colors.
Sandnes Garn Smart – This DK weight yarn is 100% Norwegian Wool that has been superwash treated, so you can pop it in the washer and dryer. Especially important for garments that need to be easy care. (Baby and kid clothes, when gifting to friends who don’t want to hand wash, etc.) The balls come ready to use, with 109 yards per ball. Available in 44 colors.

I made these two hats when I got samples to try out last fall. Now I am ready to knit a sweater out of this beautiful yarn. It was great to knit, I love the stitch definition, and it washed and blocked wonderfully. I’m thinking either a Dillon or Aldous. Next up – picking my color.
