Wednesday: Polar Vortex Sale (We can warm you up!)

While it was 8 degrees here this morning in Fort Collins, we have seen temperatures all over that make us glad for that “balmy” 8 degrees! (My hometown of Clinton, Iowa is -55 degrees with wind chill this morning. I’m sure I walked to school in such temperatures in the day. Uphill both ways.)

We wanted to warm you all up. And what better way to do that than with yarn (warm) and a sale (happy)!

Today (Wednesday, January 30 until midnight Mountain Time) we will be taking a minus 20 (brr!) off your Worsted, Aran, Bulky and Super Bulky yarn orders. 20% off to help you feel better about your minus temperatures!

Worsted Weight Yarn
Aran Weight Yarn
Bulky Weight Yarn
Super Bulky Weight Yarn

Our shopping cart doesn’t know we’re having a sale. The prices will show up at regular price, but we will be applying the 20% discount on those weights of yarn when your order comes through to us. (If you’re going for free shipping in the U.S., be sure the discount won’t take you below $100.)

We hope many of you are curled up at home in front of the fire, with your favorite hot beverage and cozied up in your favorite pj’s, ready to knit the day away. (We’re a little jealous of that. But you can keep that cold weather.)

  1. Enjoy your balmy 8 degrees. We have been hunkered down for days here in Clinton. DH has cabin ever. I have my knittng. Something heavier than fingering weight sounds great right now.

  2. Perfect! I’m drinking hot tea & covered in cats. According to CNN, St. Louis on the border of frigid & below freezing on their polar vortex map but we’ll hit 60 this weekend.

  3. Oh, good grief! I didn’t know you were from Clinton! My husband’s uncle, Earl Seiver, ran a diner there when he came back from WWII as a prisoner of war survivor, until his death in 1970. In fact, our daughter took her first steps at his funeral visitation.
My brother-in-law is the long-time City Manager of Milan, and he and hubby grew up in Aledo (the county seat of Mercer County, just south of Rock Island county). Me? I was born in Burlington, IA, grew up north of there.
