Evil Little Goat and Woolen Boon

Are you ready for some beautiful new yarn to tempt your knitting (or crocheting) fingers? We have just the thing:

Evil Little Goat Another new indie dyer for us, and we’re delighted to have Dione and her beautiful creations in the shop! We have her Squishy Goat base (fingering weight, 100% Superwash Merino) and a handful of her five and six mini skein sets up in the shop today. Gorgeous gorgeous colors and I know you’ll have a hard time choosing. (Well, as my friend Susan says, “Why choose? Get them all!” We may have been talking about gelato at the time, but I certainly think you can apply that to yarn if you’d like.)

Woolen Boon More beautiful skeins from Ryan and Sonya in their Boon Classic base (fingering weight, 100% Superwash Merino). I always love their colors, but this time the Greenleaf Hut (that green with the blues and yellows…) and the Bedazzle (which makes me wish my lilacs would hurry up and bloom) are both calling to me.

Loopy Legends Our first batch of Loopy Legends colorways have arrived! (If you made Loopy Legend status in 2017 and haven’t sent us your inspiration photo yet, do get that in so we can get yarn made for you.) These have been done up on Dream in Color’s 600 yard skeins (fingering weight, 100% Superwash Merino), which makes them perfect for larger shawl/scarf/wrap patterns, as well as perfect for sweaters. I’m so happy with how these colors turned out on this first batch.

Our last Yarn Update included: Uschitita Fibre Art Merino Singles, and Cascade re-stocks in all bases.

What I’m working on: I’m in the middle of my Ashburn Shawl (I’m using Dream in Color’s Smooshy with Cashmere in three colors) and also working on socks out of the April Spring Spinkles Kit yarn by Whimsical Wood. What are you working on? Tag us on Instagram (#theloopyewe) and show us your current project. We always love to see them!

Patterns that caught my eye recentlyy: Alice (such cute gathering in the back, by the Hitofude designer), Audra Wrap (3 colors of fingering, and it would be awesome in some of these new skeins!), Water (because it looks interesting to make), Jaycee (look at the neck and hemline details), and Maudie (I love the cables).

Sheri and The Loopy Ewe Crew

We won’t have a Monday Update next week – and possibly the week after. Our Inventory Elf and Update Elf are both taking vacations, so we’ll be back 5/21 (unless we can pull one off on 5/14 without them.)
