Are you thinking you can’t knit or crochet that much?
I’m always impressed with how many people complete projects in the 800+ yards category for our Camp Loopy August challenges. Until Camp Loopy started (back in 2011), I had never stuck with one large project of that size before. I was amazed at how quickly it went, when I put all of my other projects away for the month. And actually, that one ended up being 2600 yards instead of 800+ yards. One of just two things I have crocheted. (Here’s a link to that project.) It was a good lesson for me. And I hope it encourages you to take on a project that might be bigger than you think you can do!

We’ll share more ideas again next week, but I hope this gets you thinking about some fun (and warm, and large 800+ yards projects) to work on this winter!

  1. I just ordered some lovely yarn for a sweater. I have not decided on the pattern yet but plan to CO soon and am awaiting my BOF to be delivered tomorrow with the yarn inside. 2200 yards of fun!
