Happy Monday to you. We have had rain and sunshine all day today. (And sometimes rain WITH sunshine. Gotta love Colorado!) In between watching the weather, we’ve gotten some pretty things (lots of Malabrigo) ready for you in today’s update. Just up:
Malabrigo Caracol – We used our first skein (and then several more after that) for a Waltz through the Forest Cowl. Quick, easy, and makes a great gift. But check out the Stained Glass Poncho, and the Rainbow Twist Cowl, too!
Malabrigo Rios – I love the Knit Night Hat for any yarn that is a worsted weight multi-color! The pattern on the brim is so fun. Of course Rios is wonderful for sweaters. And because it’s dark and stormy out as I type this, I’m going to suggest Dark and Stormy!
Malabrigo Sock – Well, this Blue Mountain Valley Shawl looks fun, and isn’t it beautiful how it wraps around the shoulders and comes together in the front? Of – if you’re doing the upcoming What the Fade? KAL – you know it’s going to be gorgeous in Malabrigo Sock.
Malabrigo Mechita – Soft, single ply, and beautiful color selection. You might try a Tiliana, Kallara, or Free Your Fade. (Which I just typed as Free Your Face – a whole different pattern idea ….)
Dream in Color Jilly with Cashmere – We fell in love with the Non Troppo pattern when Veronica (from Dream in Color) was visiting and brought her sample done in Jilly with Cashmere. It was so beautiful that several of us immediately cast on for it! We’re happy to have more color options for you to choose from.
Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock Heavyweight – Just a handful of colors, but they’re good ones! With cooler weather on the way here in the States, it’s a good time to start in on some beautiful hats, cowls, scarves and gloves. What about a Brickless? I think everyone who attends our in-store Knit Night has made at least one Brickless out of STR. We keep inspiring each other with new colors!
Pawley Studios Loopy Mugs – We fell in love with these mugs when we saw them. They are a great size and the pottery design is beautiful. Of course it’s extra special because Loopy graces the front, and “Loopy for Yarn” is written on the back. And aren’t well loopy for yarn?) They come in three different finishes. In order to insure the safety of the mug, these need to ship separately. We are also unable to ship them internationally. (We think you should fly on over here to visit us in person, and to get one of these beautiful mugs. Good plan, right?)
Our last Yarn Update included: JulieSpins SW Merino Lace, Round Mountain Fibers Merino Fingering (new indie dyer!), Rosy Green Wool Cheeky Merino Joy, Canon Hand Dyes Kits, and Cavallini Notebooks and Sitcky Notes.
Have fun shopping through the new things, and we’ll get your orders right out!
Sheri and The Loopy Ewe Crew
P.S. I marked down our Loopy Ewe Solid Series to 50% off – $6 a skein instead of $12! We are looking forward to getting the new line in (probably this winter) and need to clear the rest of these out. Just a reminder – the new line will be on the same base, but done by a different (well-loved) dyer and will be hand-dyed solids instead of machine dyed.
Lots of goodies today!!! Looking forward to the new solid series. Also, looking forward to seeing y’all really soon. xoxo
I LOVE that Malabrigo Caracol! Last year when it came out I made six or seven quick neckerchiefs because it was such great yarn. It’s like knitting with stained glass and I just love the effect!
