I hope you had a great weekend and are ready for a new week. It’s starting to be a little chilly in the mornings around here, so I’m happily making lists of yarn and projects to keep me busy in the coming months. You too? I’m sure you’re going to find a few beautiful new things for yourself in this week’s update. We just added in:
Black Water Abbey Yarn – Sport, Worsted and Fingering. We have been looking for just the right traditional rustic wool line to add in here at Loopy for quite awhile. Black Water Abbey was my first choice, but they don’t typically wholesale. However – we talked, and they happily agreed to work with us! (It might also help that we are in Colorado, which is where they are located as well.) This yarn is produced by a small mill in Ireland and is a combination of Cheviot, Border Leicester, Suffolk and Lambswool. The wool feels crisper and more rustic than merinos, and will make your stitches and cables pop. Pattern Ideas: Celtic Dreams, Fylingdales, Hawthorne Vest, Hallett’s Ledge, Derica Kane, and Tangled Yoke Cardigan. Shown here in Cinnamon and Forest.
Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts – Heavy Fingering. It’s always fun to get an order in from Ancient Arts, because they have all of the cat and dog inspired colorways! We have a new infusion of cats and dogs for you, as well as plenty of their other beautiful (non-cat/dog inspired) colorways. Dyed on a heavy fingering weight yarn, you’ll get 437 yards per skein. Pattern Ideas: Falling Water, Sockhead Hat, iCat Cowl, Old Shale Scarf, and Jinga the Orange Tabby Cat (or whatever colored cat you need sitting on your couch, keeping you company!) Shown here in Australian Shepherd and Rose Tribute.
Madelinetosh Unicorn Tails – re-stocked in all colors plus The Whole Stable. These are cute little 52 yard skeins of some of Madelinetosh’s most popular colors, dyed up on their Merino Light base. Fun for colorwork, scrappy cowls and scarves, blankets, and more. Collect all 30 colors, or buy The Whole Stable! Pattern Ideas: Beekeeper’s Quilt, Unicorn Stripes, Unicorn Parallelograms, Moonraker, and Fine Tune. Shown here in Mandala and The Whole Stable.
Soak – re-stocks in Heel, Wash, and their Flatter sprays for ironing and sewing/quilting. (You’ve been asking for Flatter – we’re glad to add it in here.)
George Sichterman Woodwork. George dropped off another batch of his wonderful Yarn Caddies and Yarn Swifts last week. He has each one carefully wrapped in-transit, and we love unwrapping them all and setting them up in the shop. Such gorgeous workmanship. The small caddies are great for lighter weight yarns and single skein projects, while the large caddies work well for heavier weight yarns and/or multiple skeins at a time. And do you have one of his swifts? If you’re a life-knitter, then you should have beautiful tools for your hobby. George’s swifts and caddies both fit that description.
Sweet Georgia – Tough Love Sock. Felicia’s fingering weight sock yarn (80% Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon) comes with 425 yards to the skein, and we have it in several new colors as well as popular re-stocks. Pattern Ideas: Age of Brass and Steam Kerchief, Favorite Scarf Ever, Socks on a Plane, Clockwork and Cherry Lane Socks. Shown here in Tea Party and Stormchaser.
Have fun checking out the new things, and we’ll get your orders packed with lots of Loopy Love and shipped right out!
