The Best Peanut Butter Recipes

It’s the weekend! (Well, after we get through today…) I thought you might need a good bar recipe to take you through the next few days. These are delicious and come from the kitchen of Knitting Daughter (highly recommended by me). The recipe comes from My Baker Lady. Be sure to check out her other recipes too as they look amazing!

Peanut Butter Bars The Loopy EweChocolate Peanut Butter Bars

1 cup butter, melted
2 cups graham cracker crumbs (either boxed or grind yourself)
2 cups confectioners sugar
1 cup + 4 Tbl. smooth peanut butter
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Mix together the melted butter, cracker crumbs, sugar and 1 cup of peanut butter until well blended. Press into an ungreased 9 x 13 pan.

In a bowl, carefully microwave and melt the chocolate chips and 4 Tbl. peanut butter, stirring until smooth.

Spread over the peanut butter layer and refrigerate an hour or more before cutting.

  1. Yum, thanks will try it. My friend Nancy and I flew in from AZ on Wed the 10th and made a bee line to Loopy Ewe..always the perfect way to start a well needed vacation. We loaded up on patterns and yarn and have been happily knitting away. But when we were at the store we were offered some homemade chocolate chip cookies, still warm! We neglected to tell you what a wonderful welcoming treat that was. We were starved from the trip, not wanting to stop on our way to your wonderful store. So thanks for the yummy welcome and for your amazing store and “elves” who all made us feel special and at home.

  2. If you love peanut butter and have Trader Joe’s in your area, try their Unsalted Crunchy peanut butter. It’s made from nothing but dry roasted peanuts. Yum yum yum. I, too, have a thing about peanut butter!
