The Monday Yarn Update is ready for you and today it’s full of Wollmeise! We just added in:
Wollmeise Blend – A Sport Weight yarn that is a luxurious blend of cashmere, merino and nylon with 546 yards to the skein. (This is more yardage in the skein than most Sport Weight yarns, so plan your sweater yardage carefully. You won’t need as many skeins as you think!). Great for sweaters, shawls, scarf/hat/mitten sets, and more. Pattern ideas: Heaven and Space, Braidsmaid, Wanderling, Campside, Princess Fiona, and Vitamin D. Shown below in Bussi and Purple Velvet.
Wollmeise Twin – A Fingering Weight yarn that comes 510 yards to the skein, this base is 80% Superwash Merino and 20% Nylon, making it great for socks. You’ll also find a lot of people using it for shawls, sweaters and wraps. Pattern ideas: Zauberlehrling, Flechtmuster, Saltwater, Strandwanderer, Pamuya, and Bobbie. Shown below in Gloire de Dijon and Sonne.
Wollmeise Pure – A Fingering Weight yarn that comes with 574 yards to the skein and is 100% Superwash Merino. It’s wonderful to use for sweaters, shawls, scarves, hats, cowls and gloves. Pattern ideas: Ley Lines, Quiet Journey, Hitofude, Stripes Gone Crazy, Flare, and Knick, Shown below in Guide to Galaxy and Jultomte.
Wollmeise Lace – Heavy Lace Weight yarn, this comes in what may be the biggest skein of yarn your stash has seen! Each skein has 1722 yards, giving you lots of choices for your knitting. We’ve seen beautiful wraps, shawls and sweaters done up with this base. Pattern ideas: Nuvem (my favorite!), Viajante, Walk on the Moon, Off for a Walk with Charlotte, Sandbank, Aurinko, Rosen Bridge, and Nordnordwest. Shown below in Petit Poison Nr. 5 Light and Taube.
Pop over and see if there is a color or base that you need for your stash or next project, and we’ll get it shipped right out to you!
