The Monday Yarn Update is ready for you! Today we added in:
Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock Lightweight – this fingering weight yarn is 100% Superwash Merino in a nice, bouncy twist that you all know and love. You’ll like using it for socks, shawls, cowls, scarves, and more. (Of course we also have Socks that Rock in Mediumweight and Heavyweight for heavier sweaters, shawls and winter wear.) Shown here in Love and Seastone.
Kauni Effektgarn – this sport weight yarn is 100% wool (not merino wool, but the hardier type that many of us like.) Each of our photos shows one color in a variety of looks. The different colors/shades are all wound up into one ball and of course knit up beautifully into long color shifts. The Effektgarn balls are sold by weight, and you’ll find the yardage listings given in the descriptions. You will find balls ranging from 525 yards up to 787 yards and can choose them based on your pattern requirements. We do weigh all of the balls that come in to confirm that you are getting the weights that are listed on the labels. Beautiful pattern options. Check out the Eliza Shawl, Kauni Rainbow Cardigan, and Rainbow Scarf. Shown here in EQ and EMC.
Kauni Solids – For those of you who like matching the solids to the Effektgarn color combos, these are for you. There are some fun patterns out there that mix both. (Like Lightwaves, Kauni Damask Understated Bag, and Dreambird.) The solids are also good for regular colorwork sweaters and apparel. Shown here in RR2 and ZZ.
Cascade 220 Superwash – This worsted weight superwash yarn is easy care and comes with 220 yards to the ball. It is popular for kids clothes, afghans, and for things you make for other people who might not take the time to handwash. (Throw this in the washer and dryer and it comes out looking great.) Also wonderful for sweaters for all ages. We continue to carry all 138 colors, so you have lots to choose from. I found some fun blanket/throws: Log Cabin Blanket, Tree Rings, Bairn, and Lizard Ridge. If you crochet, try Beachcomber Baby Blanket, Neat Ripple Pattern, and Blackberry Salad Stripe. Shown here in Persimmon and Daffodil.
Cascade Eco Duo – A fun yarn that is an aran weight and made up of 70% Alpaca and 30% Merino Wool, making it a good alternative when 100% alpaca might be too hot. Depending on your stitch count and pattern, this can knit up in subtle color shifts. Especially fun in hats, mitts, mittens and scarves. Shown here in Koala and Almond Smoke.
Cascade Heritage Sock – Fingering weight yarn that comes in a great variety of colors, at a great price! This base is 75% Superwash Merino and 25% Nylon, making it nice for socks, but also shawls, wraps and sweaters. We carry it in over 50 colors for you. Shown here in Dark Plum and Primavera.
Cascade Ultra Pima – With Spring right around the corner in the U.S., it might be time to start thinking about some cute spring and summer tanks and sweaters. This DK weight yarn is 100% Pima Cotton and has a beautiful sheen. Try it for Liesl, Cinnie, Ruched Yoke Tee, Neck Down Summer Cardigan, and Swing Cardigan. Available in over 90 gorgeous colors. Shown here in Indigo Blue and Chocolate.
Manos del Uruguay Alegria – Crazy (awesome) colors abound in each of these creative skeins! This fingering weight yarn is 75% Superwash Merino and 25% Polyamid, meaning it holds up well for socks. Just as fun for cowls, hats, mitts and shawls, though. You’ll have fun watching the colors swirl around as you knit with it. Shown here in Fuego and Fondo del Mar.
We also re-stocked our Milk & Honey line of lotion bars and Anywhere Balm in Lemongrass, Citrus, Lavendar, Lavendar Rosemary, and Unscented. These are great to keep in your purses, backpacks, knitting bags, and desk drawers.
Have fun shopping through the new things, and we’ll get your orders packed up and shipped right out!

Such bright and happy colors! Nice to see when it’s gray and dreary out!!!!
The Kauni Effektgarn is amazingly beautiful, as are the sample items made from it. However, the link to the Kauni Rainbow Cardigan isn’t working. The website won’t load. Thoughts?
