Today we have our November Celebrations yarn ready, and we also had fun project bags sewn up to go with them. First, we have our Christmas Celebration kit. The Christmas color is called Christmas Tartan and was dyed up on Dream in Color’s Smooshy with Cashmere base. Then, we had Holly from The Calico Bush sew up project bags in a fun Christmasy print (lined with the same polka dot material that you see in the tie.) Do you have a Christmas project bag to use for your December knitting? Of course you need one! I’m going to make a Christmas Hitchhiker with my skein. (That’s the perfect busy-holiday type of knitting for me. An easy pattern that I don’t have to think about, resulting in a fun scarf to wear Christmas week.) It would also be beautiful in a cowl, a hat, or Christmas socks.
Our Winter Celebration Kit includes the Peppermint Ice color, dyed up on Dream in Color’s Smooshy with Cashmere base. Then, we had Michele from Three Bags Full sew up project bags in a fun wintery print (lined with teal fabric that has red polka dots). Do you have a winter project bag to use for your January and February knitting? Of course you need one! I think I’ll make a Lintilla with mine. Pretty and peppy for the cold and dreary month of January. It would also be beautiful in a cowl, mitts, or scarf.
We have a good supply of these kits (as these sewists have been working on the bags since this summer for us!), but they are limited edition, so once they are gone, they’re gone. These will make fun gifts for the favorite knitter in your life, and maybe YOU are your favorite knitter!

Hi Sheri and the Elves – thanks so much for these kits. I was able to buy one of each – Winter Celebration for my mother-in-law, the 88 year old knitting diva, and the Christmas Celebration Kit for myself, and we have lots of Michele’s bags – just love them. I hope your holidays are as wonderful as you are making ours! Denise
I’m glad you like them, Denise! And I love that your mother-in-law is an 88 year old knitting diva. 🙂
I’m not good at judging from looking at skeins – are those yarns striping? Or more variegated? Any chance of a picture of a small swatch or sock in them?
If you knit them into mitts or socks, Veronica at Dream in Color ways you’ll get little mini stripes. Of course that all depends on number of stitches, pattern, gauge, etc.
Only one problem: both projects you’ve tempted us with take 100-200 more yards than the yarn offered. 🙁
Both Hitchhiker and Lintilla can be knit with almost any amount of yarn. You just end when you run out of yarn! 😀
Yes, what Robyn said! That’s the nice thing about many of Martina’s patterns.
Sheri, will the store be open on Friday?
Yes, 10 am – 4:30 on Friday and Saturday this week!
Cool. I am contemplating heading up there on Friday but I don’t know if I’m brave enough to venture out on Black Friday! Haha
Just bought one of each for myself and my daughter who is a wonderful knitter in her own right. She makes wonderful socks. We both love project bags! Hopefully will arrive in plenty of time for Christmas and not be kidnapped by CBSA. Enjoy your holiday tomorrow. We had our Thanksgiving in October.
So glad you can share knitting (and fun kits) with your daughter, Linda!
Can we buy the Loopy’s Winter and Celebration yarns without the bag?
Hi Mary – we’re just selling them as kits, although we do have a few extra Winter bags that we can sell separately if anyone wants just the bag.
