Blue Moon Socks That Rock, Shalimar, Lorna’s Laces and More!

Downtown-Cowl-1Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. I had a good weekend, but am behind on my Camp Loopy Project Two knitting and need to get a move on it. 🙁  Hoping for more time this week. But in the meantime, we have fun new things up on the website for you today! Just up, you’ll find:

Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock Mediumweight – I think this is my favorite weight from the Socks that Rock group. A sport weight yarn that has 405 yards in the skein (which is more than most other Sport and DK weight skeins), this yarn is perfect for sweaters, shawls, vests, hats, scarves and gloves. And the bouncy yarn base makes it fun to knit and great for showing off your stitches. Here’s the Downtown Cowl in Farmhouse that I made, the last time we got in Mediumweight. (Shown below in Maia and Hobbit Garden.)

Lorna’s Laces – all new colors in Worsted, Solemate, Sportmate, Shepherd Worsted and Shepherd Sock. You’ll find Lake Bluff, Putty, Ravinia, Hathorne, Granville, and Hampstead. It’s always a fun day when the new seasonal Lorna’s colors arrive! (Shown below in Hampstead and Hawthorne on Shepherd Worsted.)

Shalimar Breathless DK – another of my favorites. This DK weight yarn comes with 270 yards in the skein and is made up of 75% Superwash Merino, 15% Cashmere and 10% Silk. (See why it’s one of my favorites? So wonderful to work with.) You’ll love it for socks, shawls, hats, scarves and sweaters. (Shown below in Shrimp Kiss and Gunmetal.)

The Loopy Ewe July Celebrations color – We had this dyed up on Dream in Color’s Smooshy base, which is a fingering weight yarn that is 100% Superwash Merino. This month we’re celebrating all of the new friendships we’ve made through Camp Loopy this summer, so the colorway is called Campfire Connections. I love the campfire-y color. (It makes a nice camping companion to June’s Glamping on Loopy Lake colorway. Here’s the sock that I knit up in it. (The real color is in the skein. My sock doesn’t look that red in person! Pattern: Froot Loop Sock with a couple of modifications – I made rows 2-4 the same on the pattern, and did Wendy’s Toe Up Heel.)

Blue Sky Worsted Cotton – re-stocked. This Worsted weight yarn comes with 150 yards in the skein and is 100% Organic Cotton. Soft and wonderful to knit with. It makes beautiful summer sweaters and tanks, throw blankets, and hats, shawls and scarves for people who are sensitive to wool. (Shown below in Pickle and Shell.)

Chic-A Yarn Keepers – we’ve re-stocked the single, double and triple yarn keepers for keeping your cakes of yarn tidy and in place while you knit along. (Especially if you have furry little pets that like to investigate your yarn choices as you sit and knit!).

Knerd Shop Totes –  We have re-stocked these totes again, since you all bought them up the last time they were here. These canvas totes are perfect for your latest project, as well as carrying books and patterns or your laptap or iPad.

Blue Sky Alpacas Patterns – some fun new patterns and re-stocks, including the popular Etched Rio Wrap, Rectangle Shawl, Autumn Vest, and some great cardigans and hoodies. And check out the Knit Chickens. You might need one of these!
