Brrrr. Cold weather means hats, scarves and mittens/gloves around here. Fortunately, there are lots of patterns just perfect for this season! (Check out the 10 Quick Projects blog post, which links to lots of fun patterns to try out.) Today, I wanted to share a project that Knitting Daughter just finished. I want to make this pattern, myself. I wish you could feel it! The pattern makes the fabric so smoosh-able and warm. This is the Issey Scarf, which calls for a sport weight yarn. Julia knit this with three skeins of Breathless DK in the color Ore.
Have you found any fun scarf patterns lately? If so, leave us a link in the comments so we can check them out!

Wish you could stop in Dallas for a visit on the way back. Have fun in Houston — and you are right, you won’t need scarves — 80 in Dallas today, though they said a little cooler tomorrow
Julia’s scarf is gorgeous! I especially love that it’s reversible! Have a great trip and we’ll miss you at knit night!

I prefer long cowls to scarves — my current “knit” is Eufaula from Scarf Style 2. I’m knitting it in the gorgeous Madelintosh my Elder Son bought me for my birthday!
Dh just had a layover in Houston – complained about how hot and humid it was…..He’s on his way to Key West – ?!?

I love this whole book! Not free but so cool looking. I can’t wait to see how she makes these without stranding.
I’m currently knitting a linen stitch scarf! so soft. This is my second one. I love the Mobius Cowl too out of Malabrigo Rios. I’ve made a couple (3) of those, and they are all luscious!
I’m planning on Rippenschal

I wish you would show some crochet patterns, in addition to knitting, please. π I can’t knit much anymore because of the rheumatoid arthritis in my hands.
