It’s November. It’s a Monday Night. It’s getting colder and colder here in St. Louis. What better time to shop for new warm wool? We put lots of new things up on the website for you – come check it out!
Red Knit Kits – These handy kits have everything you need to accessorize your knitting bag. The kit includes: scissors, darning needle, tape measure, row counter, stitch markers, crochet hook, and point protectors. I’m so happy to have them in red. This is the first thing I said to them when I ordered their original white version a long time ago – “Can you get these done in red?”
Sock Club and Loopy Lite Patterns – The May club patterns are now available for purchase. Up tonight: Reflection Shawl, May Flowers Socks, Cassarah Scarf, and Dancing Diamonds Socks.
Studio June – Jill has dyed up a special holiday colorway for us called “It’s a Loopy Christmas”. Beautiful shades of green, red, burgundy and white. We love how it turned out!
Fiesta Ballet – The luscious base that is 50% Alpaca, 50% Tencel. This is another yarn that you will love using for things next to your skin – mitts, scarves, cowls, and shawls. Also, perfect for bed socks, to keep your toes toasty.
Fiesta Ballet Pattern Book – Filled with patterns for sweaters, socks, tunics, scarves, hats, mitts, and a cardi, just in time for our Ballet re-stock.
The Sanguine Gryphon Bugga and Skinny Bugga – The cashmere in these bases make Bugga and Skinny Bugga perfect for luxury socks, but also great for scarves, cowls, hats, mitts and shawls. Keep it close to your skin. (Skinny Bugga Oak Timberworm shown here.)
Kollage Circular needles – We have the new firm-cable needles now available in the 24″ size.
Dream in Color Dream Club’s November Selection – We put these up the morning of each 1st day of the month, in case you’re watching for them. If you pre-ordered it, it’s in your cart already. Remember, we continue to add in extras all week, with the final batch going up next Tuesday. This month’s selection is a skein of Starry, that beautiful yarn with the silver in it, and it comes with an emailed pattern for “Simply Twisted Socks”.
Marie Mayhew – a re-stock of Marie’s cute felted needle patterns and kits.
Namaste Oh Snap Pouches in Pink – Re-stocked again from last week’s sellout.
Mary Hadley’s Loopy Coasters – Re-stocked again from our last sellout. The perfect place to rest your cup of coffee. Or glass of Diet Coke. Although my coaster is usually filled with stitchmarkers, a row counter, and a darning needle that I’m using as I knit along. I have one on my desk at Loopy that actually holds my coffee cup!
I’ve just knitted up a new shawl that I like a lot – Whippoorwill. (Photos when I block it.) We talked about this over on our Facebook group a couple of weeks ago, and people wanted some color suggestions. I made mine out of Madelinetosh Merino Light, because I am addicted to the way this yarn base takes color. (And Amy’s amazing way with dyeing.) Some of my favorite Madtosh ML color combinations:
Stovepipe and Mourning Dove
Shoreline and Teddy Bear
Dahlia and Fathom
Norway Spruce and Sequoia
Baltic and Vintage Frame
Mare and Cobalt
Mourning Dove and Kale
Amber Trinket and Isadora
Dahlia and Clematis
Victorian Gothic and Rose
Iris and Jade
Tart and Fig
Mulled Wine and Nectar
Rosewood and Sequoia
Turquoise and Oceana
Afternoon and Nectar
Blue Gingham and Ink
Dusk and Graphite
Isadora and Rosewood
Violin and Teddy Bear
Trodden and Fig
Terrarium and Teddy Bear
Other two-color shawls that might be fun to knit: Andrea’s Shawl, Ulmus, The Crow Waltz Shawl, Akimbo, and Daybreak. (Because after compiling that long list, it became clear to me that I would need a few more 2-color shawls in my queue!)
