The Monday Yarn Update is ready for you – more pretty yarn and colors. Today we added in:
Malabrigo Mora – Oh, this brand new base is gorgeous, and we ordered all of the colors for you! These skeins are 100% Mulberry Silk in a fingering weight, with 225 yards to the skein. Make yourself a luscious shawl or scarf or cowl out of this. (I’d say that it’s perfect for gift knitting, but I’m pretty sure you’re going to have a hard time giving it away.) What is Mulberry Silk? It is the highest quality silk available for purchase, made from cocoons spun by silkworms that are fed only mulberry leaves. It’s more refined than other silks, both in texture and color. It’s also incredibly strong. A silk fiber the same diameter as a fiber of steel is stronger than the steel. When you combine that with the beautiful dying that Malabrigo is known for? It’s a yarn not to be missed. Pattern Ideas: Pebble Beach Shawl, Frisson, Lydia Dancing Shawl, and Sweet Dreams, Shown below in Sabiduria and Piedras.
Dream in Color Classy – 100% Superwash Merino in a worsted weight yarn with 250 yards to the skein. Classy is wonderful for sweaters, vests, heavier shawls, and warm woolen mittens. 🙂 In addition to the regular colors, we’ve also received our special Celebrating the Games, Jack is Back, Big box of Crayons, What is a Weekend, Finally Spring, and Mountain Wildflowers exclusive colors! Pattern Ideas: Cruzado Cowl, Tea Leaves Cardigan, Windschief, and Pine Forest Baby Blanket, Shown below in Mountain Wildflowers and Finally Spring.
Dream in Color Smooshy – 100% Superwash Merino in a fingering weight, spun, superwashed and hand-dyed in the U.S. There are 450 yards in the skein, and we have seen beautiful shawls, socks, sweaters and scarves knit with this yarn. Pattern Ideas: Geology Shawl, Interlude, Water, Lenore, and Nogat. Shown below in Ruby River and Scorched Lime.
Cascade re-stocks in 220, 220 Superwash, Ultra Pima, Sock Solids, Eco Alpaca, Heritage Silk, and 220 Superwash Aran. Shown below in Aporto and Ruby.
