Monday Update: Lots of Color!

The Monday Yarn Update is ready for you! Today we added in:

Dream in Color’s Jilly Lace Minis Kits – New from Dream in Color, this kit comes in a Warm version and a Cool version (colors shown below), with the pattern emailed to you to make the beautiful Arcoiris Scarf. Each mini skein contains 220 yards of Jilly Lace, for a kit total of 1320 yards.

 

 

 

Blue Moon Socks that Rock Mediumweight – More beautiful yarn from the Blue Moon dyers, including new spring colors! I think Mediumweight is my favorite Socks that Rock weight. This sport base comes with 405 yards to the skein and is tightly plied, making it squishy and awesome for great stitch definition. Shown below in Swizzle Whizzle and Pluviophile. Pattern ideas: Chevron Scarf (so fun when alternating two different colorways), Rock and Weave Socks, Multnomah, and Baktus Scarf. I do use fingering and sport weights pretty much interchangeably. Sometimes you might want to adjust needle size or stitch count, but many times not. Of course if you’re swapping one weight for another in something fitted like a sweater, always do a gauge swatch.

Malabrigo Rasta – This base yarn was out of stock for quite awhile, and we’re glad to be able to get it again for you. We added some last month, and have more colors for you this month, too. Rasta is a Super Bulky yarn that comes 90 yards to the skein. You’ll love it for hats, mittens, gloves, cowls and more. Shown below in Azules and Lotus. Pattern ideas: Rainbow Twist, Ovate, Darn Knit Rasta Hat, and Bitty Bump.

Malabrigo Nube Roving – Nube is 100% merino wool roving, for spinning or felting. (Nube means Cloud in Spanish). Each bundle is 4 oz and spins up beautifully. Shown below in Posion and Solis.

ChiaoGoo Needles – We’ve re-stocked all of our ChiaoGoo circulars, DPN’s and interchangeables.

Knitting Notions – You’ll find fun scissors, darning eggs, stitch markers, needle gauges, stitch holders, and more. Time to stock up your little notions bag? We have the tools to put in there! (Need a new notions bag? We love these cute bags from Blue Q. The small and the large sizes.)

Soak – We’ve re-stocked the 3 oz and 12 oz Soak Wash sizes, as well as the Handmaid Lotion and the travel packs. Perfect for hand-washing your knittables, and it’s also nice to include the 3 oz or travel packet sizes when gifting handknits.

George Sichterman’s Yarn Caddies and Swifts – Wind your yarn on a beautiful swift, and then place the cake on one of the yarn caddies to keep your yarn smooth and tangle-free as you knit. Internal ball bearings ensure that the stand turns smoothly and seamlessly. Our friend George makes these beautiful knitting tools by hand in Wyoming.
