I wish you could feel this yarn in person. (Well, many of you have, as we’re down to our last few skeins of this awesome yarn! In fact, two of my favorite colors are still in stock as I write this – the Spinel and Jade. But more is arriving at the end of this month or early next month.)
This blend of cashmere and silk is luscious and this shawl is staying with me. This is my Camp Loopy Project Two, finished and blocked the evening of 7/31, so not a second too soon. The pattern is And So Are You, and I made it a little longer so that I could use most of 2 skeins. This is the third shawl out of this same pattern that I have made, and I like it. There’s a little tricky P3, YO, P3 in the same 3 stitches (to make the pretty twist pattern), but other than that it’s an easy pattern. You might want to check it out in Worthy, Blue Sky Royal, Road to China Light, Manos Serena, Smooshy with Cashmere, one of our Celebrations colors, or Breathless. All great choices in luscious yarn!
We were happy to introduce you to Fiberstory this week in the Monday Update, too. Sarah sent along this beautiful cowl sample with our order, and it is a really pretty way to show off her gorgeous yarn. My favorite color in her whole batch was Putty, so I tucked away one of those skeins for myself. I think I’ll use it to make this cowl. You can get a copy of this Sweetly Cowl pattern for free with the purchase of a skein of her Fave yarn. Just add a note to your order that you’d like it, and we’ll email it to you. If you already bought a skein earlier in the week and would like the pattern, email Lynn and she’ll send you the pattern: firstname.lastname@example.org. It’s one of those patterns that I think you’ll use over and over, as it is perfect for multi-colored yarn and interesting to knit.
We added a lot of Wollmeise to the website this afternoon, and there are still some skeins left if you want to pop over and get some. All tangy orange colors left!
